Since January 2023, many services offered to the French have increased. Economic crisis obliges, the French are therefore, like the rest of the world, affected by inflation
Moreover, this makes several months that the French are in the know. Whether it’s gasoline, foodstuffs, raw materials, vehicle registration documents, cars… Inflation is everywhere.
Not long ago, economics professor Gérard-Marie Henry estimated that inflation of 5.1% was not “particularly worrying”. According to him, what is most worrying is of course the price of energy and raw materials.
It thus excludes “everything that is volatile (gasoline, fresh produce, energy, etc.) and only concerns products and services whose prices are rising and which will never come down once more”. The professor therefore highlighted the price of the consultation with the doctor which is experiencing the most significant increase.
Indeed, on February 16, a new fee schedule proposal was proposed to the Assembly. Practitioners therefore want to increase the consultation by €1.50. A proposal that the director of Health Insurance, Thomas Fatôme agreed.
This cost would therefore make it possible to improve patient care by setting several public health objectives to be achieved. Among them, the follow-up of new patients as an attending physician. Or the opening of medical practices in the evenings and on certain Saturdays.
The European Central Bank has therefore decided to increase its rates, which have remained unchanged since 2015. A very worrying increase…
How much does it actually cost?
And this also and especially affects cars. Car models in car parks have all increased. Direct consequence: if you plan to have your vehicle registered, it will cost you more.
The gray card is an essential document to know who is the owner of a vehicle. If you do not have the precious sesame, you risk criminal sanctions which can go as far as a prison sentence.
Inflation oblige, the price of the tax on this document will be subject to an increase. Payment will therefore be made to the regions. The money collected will thus be used to subsidize infrastructure related to transport. For example, this tax will be used to cover the cost of repairing damaged public property.
As for its amount, the latter will therefore depend on the municipality, the nature of the vehicle and the power of the engine. To estimate it, it will be necessary to take into consideration the price of the fiscal horse in force in the region.
The gray card has seen an increase of 3 euros, in Pays de la Loire for example. This does not apply to electric cars.
Since the establishment of the New Generation Prefectures Plan (PPNG), the procedures aimed at obtaining the gray card are no longer carried out through the prefecture. You can do everything online. The procedures are changing to avoid queuing at the counter.
