The Baalbek-Hermel Bloc: Dialogue is the way to achieve the presidential elections

The Baalbek-Hermel parliamentary bloc held its periodic meeting in its office in Baalbek, headed by Representative Hussein al-Hajj Hassan and attended by its members. It discussed the overall political, service, demand and development situation.

The statement issued by the bloc was read by Representative Ali Al-Miqdad, congratulating the Lebanese on the occasion of the beginning of the new Gregorian year, “hoping that the coming days will be full of goodness and blessings, and that the Lebanese will be able to face the challenges imposed on them, with more patience, unity and insight, and that they will turn these challenges into an opportunity for the advancement of the homeland in All Areas”.

And he considered that “the presidential election is very important for Lebanon’s crossing to the shore of safety, and that dialogue between the various Lebanese parties is the way to accomplish this election, which leads to the formation of a government that works to preserve stability and civil peace, and to secure the interests of the Lebanese.”

And he condemned “the aggressive policy of the White House administration and its punitive measures imposed on Lebanon and its people, in order to subject this country to what it wants in order to achieve the Zionist goals that are always working to weaken Lebanon and dismantle its elements of strength.”

He added, “We call on the partners in the country not to respond to any such external, international and regional dictates, and we stress the necessity of uniting the ranks, and considering the national interest as a major priority in order to miss opportunities for the enemies of Lebanon. We call on those concerned in the state to give the living requirements, especially medicine and food, the required attention, and hasten to limit Manipulating the exchange rate of the dollar, which reflects an insane rise in the prices of basic materials that citizens need daily.

He stressed “the need to protect the Lebanese workforce from unfair competition, and the need to monitor the work and policies of the UNHCR and suspected donors.”

He called on “those concerned in the state and the Ministry of Energy and Water to extricate Lebanon from the catastrophe of darkness, and the need to improve fair nutrition in the electric current to all regions, especially the Baalbek-Hermel governorate.”

He stressed, “The need for the security services concerned to continue their work to maintain security and stability, and draws the attention of these agencies and the judiciary to the need for strict prosecution and accountability, especially for those who wreak corruption, vandalism, and crime, and deterrent punishment once morest them.”

Al-Miqdad concluded: “The bloc sends greetings and blessings to the souls of the two martyrs, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Hajj Abi Mahdi Al-Muhandis, on the occasion of the third anniversary of their martyrdom and their companions, and sees in their great sacrifices a push to liberate the nation and its sanctities on the path to liberating Palestine and Jerusalem, and calls for following in their footsteps and in the footsteps of all martyrs with loyalty to Palestine which is exposed today to the most heinous and barbaric attacks.”
