“As painful as it may be, we cannot leave the next government a condition” of more than 1,400 people who might enter a permanent plant, said the MPN councilor and elected provincial deputy, Claudio Domínguez. The official acknowledged that the Neuquén government hired people to work on the campaign of the official candidate with the modality of “temporary” work and that following the adverse result of the polls, there were no renewals.

They are persons who worked for the MPN campaign and that they were hired from the administrative structure of the province, presumably in the area of personnel or human resources, in the Ministry of Social Development.

It was in December for a term that it was officially recognized that it was from 4 to 6 months, while the beneficiaries assured that it was for a period of one year.

Officially the government only recognized people hired as “eventual” that they had ceased their hiring and denied layoffs.

The agreements would have been signed in the Human Resources area of the Ministry of Social Development and from the Economy area, the casualties arrived. “They were not one-year contracts,” it was insisted. It was also recognized that if the MPN had not lost the elections, hiring would continue.

The jobless They made their situation visible with a protest in front of the Government House in the first days of May.

They assured that the last month they were paid was in April, and they openly reported that they had been hired in December to work in the campaign of the blue ruling party and that they were not paid their salary. They alleged that they were fired following the election that the government of Omar Gutiérrez lost – Marcos Koopmann, while the protest was lifted from Government House without knowing why the conflict had ceased.

Last Monday, in the Legislation commission of the Deliberative Council, the issue of hiring arose once more in the midst of a counterpoint between the ruling party and the current defender Ricardo Riva, who said he had received complaints at the organization’s headquarters for the dismissals, while answering his opinion on the “cost of politics” that officially justified the reform of the Organic Charter that modified the mandates of the supervisory bodies.

When Black river asked for details, Domínguez said he knew the framework of the claims and the process. “They are not 1,500, they are 1,440 and a bit,” she explained. He maintained that eventual contracts did not have a one-year term, he insisted that his task ended between 4 and 6 months, precisely to prevent them from “passing” to the incoming governor, while he stated that, with the adverse result of the polls, it was the responsibility of the current government not to extend the commitment labor.

“It was not a year, they fell when the contracting period ended, as they fall, Human Resources denounces them and Economy terminates them,” he described.

Domínguez said he did not remember the amount of the contract, as he described that it depended on the area in which he worked and maintained that the places of performance were dining rooms, picnic areas, homes of people living on the street, children, social development and family.

Tasks included handing out brochures on street corners and squares, ensuring attendance at political rallies, and actively proselytizing.

– Did those hired know that they would run out between 4 and 6 months?

Dominguez: “Some do, others don’t. It happens when an election is lost… but it always se is used to follow, in this case it was lost. It is a responsibility of the government not to leave an x number of people with the possibility of entering a permanent plant to the person who comes: so that they can choose their work group, their political plant. If not, it is conditioned.

– If I hadn’t lost the MPN?

D: They would have continued.

– Weren’t they a determining factor for Koopmann?

«They would have continued because it is the same political line. He already went speaking person by person. There were meetings, I was in many of them, I met with them and I am open to explaining; no matter how painful it is…”

Río Negro tried to abound with the Ministry of Social Development, On the characteristics of the eventual contracts to which Councilor Domínguez referred, however, there were no responses.
