Beijing, China (ots) On October 25, the awards ceremony series of the 5th “My China Story” International Short Video Competition 2023 was held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, organized by CICG, the Information Office of the People’s Government of Henan Province, the Information Office of the People’s Government of Zhengzhou Municipality and Xufang International Media of CICG was organized.

Located in the heart of central China, Zhengzhou is a birthplace of Chinese civilization. This competition collected more than 50,000 short video works from all over the world. After three rounds of evaluation by more than 20 expert jurors in the areas of film and television, international communication and the Internet, more than 90 works received awards, including 36 works with the Single Prize, 7 works with the Individual Prize, 1 work with the Grand Jury Prize and more 50 works with excellent awards. Special units such as “Wonderful Tour in Zhengzhou” and “Walking in Henan, Understanding China” built an international stage to tell Zhengzhou stories, spread the voice of Henan and contribute to China’s international communication. This has further strengthened Zhengzhou’s identity and beautiful reputation. Currently, Zhengzhou is accelerating the construction of Renewable Energy Vehicle City, Computing Power City, Diamond (Super Hard Materials) City, Super-Charging City, Quantum Technology City and Historical and Cultural Heritage City. The city is now polishing its image as a “center between heaven and earth”, “birthplace of Chinese civilization” and “city of Kung Fu”.

“My China Story” is a short video project launched by CICG in 2018. Since the first international short video competition in 2019, “My China Story” aims to encourage domestic and international content creators, foreign live streamers, self-media teams and individuals to create multilingual short videos of different formats on Chinese topics from different perspectives and to record their unique experiences visiting the country. It collects Chinese stories from around the world to present Sino-foreign integration from a third-party perspective. After five years, “My China Story” has become a well-known international communication brand, integrating multilingual short video creation, theme competition of the year, special theme competition, international new media communication seminar and theme exhibition.
