Joaquín’s crime: the minor involved was referred to the Esperanza Complex

The Court of Control, Misdemeanors, Childhood, Youth, Juvenile Criminal, Family and Gender Violence of Laboulaye, in charge of Judge Sebastián I. Moro, reported that it is intervening in an allegedly criminal act that occurred on Thursday, June 29, 2023, in that city.

The investigation, which included the intervention of the Laboulaye Multiple Competence Prosecutor’s Office, began from the complaint made in the Laboulaye Judicial Unit, that same day, for the alleged disappearance of the 14-year-old boy JSF.

Once various evidentiary measures, testimonial statements, reports, technical cooperation and raids have been completed, on Sunday, July 2, 2023, the lifeless body of JSF was found in an abandoned house in the city of Laboulaye. An autopsy was immediately ordered, which was carried out by the Forensic Medical Corps of the Río Cuarto judicial headquarters.

Likewise, it was possible to establish the alleged non-punishable participation of a 14-year-old boy in the death of JSF. The adolescent involved in the event is currently housed for his protection at the Admission and Diagnostic Center (CAD), which depends on the Esperanza Complex , from the city of Cordoba. In the next few hours, a series of diagnostic, psychosocial and environmental studies will be carried out in relation to the child.

Previously, the intervening judge Sebastián I. Moro made personal contact with the child – who is available to the court – as well as with his parents. Since the investigation to determine the existence of the act and the participation of the non-punishable child is ongoing, the court urged the local and national media to take into account the constitutional principle of innocence and dignity of persons, as as well as the guidelines governing juvenile criminal proceedings.

For this reason, it requested that they refrain from exposing, disseminating or divulging the identity and image of the adolescent allegedly involved in a criminal act, in accordance with Law 26,061 on the Comprehensive Protection of Children’s Rights.
