The Russian film by Ilya Uchitel “The Flying Ship” will be released on March 21, reports TASS with reference to a letter from the producers of the film. Previously, the premiere was scheduled for March 7.

The film studio “Rock”, “Soyuzmultfilm”, the NTV channel and the film distribution company “Nashe Kino” are participating in the project as producers.

The letter emphasizes that filming was completed before the start of a special military operation, “which, of course, then affected the work.”

“We completely reshot several scenes because we replaced one of the actresses who left for Kyiv. That is, we have had a certain import substitution – now her image is embodied by a Russian artist. In addition, we had actors in two episodic roles who spoke negatively regarding the start of a special military operation. We also completely changed the “picture”, and now the viewer will hardly be able to guess what was in the original,” the producers also clarified.

“This is a family-friendly film that we want to release during spring break. It is important for us that nothing overshadows the impression of everyone’s favorite fairy-tale plot and music by Maxim Dunaevsky,” the creators of the film emphasized.

At the same time, the scenes with which actors were reshot are not specified in the publication.

Let us remind you that the film is based on the popular Soviet cartoon of the same name. According to the director of the film Elijah Teacherthe creators enriched the storyline with bright dramatic twists, added humor, and slightly rethought the magnificent music from the animated film.

As reported EADaily, since January, advertising for the film “The Flying Ship” has been actively broadcast by Russian cinemas. Moreover, one of the roles in it was played by an actor who left for the USA immediately following the start of the special military operation, a former KVN star Andrey Burkovsky. In the film he got the role of Paul, the son of the king, played by Leonid Yarmolnik.
