Kuwaiti authorities have made it clear that Kuwaiti nationals can enter Kuwait at any time, there is no truth in the rumors that any person is being stopped.

The General Administration of Residence Affairs has confirmed that persons with valid residency status who meet the health requirements set by the Ministry of Interior have the right to enter Kuwait.

The Department of Residency has denied the rumors that the expatriates stranded in other countries outside of Kuwait will not be allowed to enter the country after December 31 if they do not enter Kuwait by December 31.

The department said that those who are outside Kuwait can renew their residence permit online without even needing a review from the Department of Residence Affairs.

Even if the Ministry of Interior decides to take new measures for migrants stranded outside the country, it will be officially announced by the General Administration of Public Relations in the Ministry of Interior.

General Residency Affairs states that any resident holding a valid residence permit, regardless of age, is entitled to enter Kuwait provided that health-related orders and requirements are met, specifically 34 Citizens of embargoed countries must stay in a non-embargoed country for 14 days before entering Kuwait.

According to the sources, all permanent residency permits, especially Article 22, have been renewed online, assuring parents that if their children are studying abroad, from Kuwait for more than 6 months. Despite living abroad, there is no fear of cancellation of their residence permits.

Sources said about visit or entry visas that no instructions have been issued yet while such a decision is usually issued by the Council of Ministers.

Sources say that the extension of the visit visa decision was issued on humanitarian grounds, under the ministerial resolution issued on September 1, 2020, a condition has been set for the extension of 3 months in residence permits and visit visas, which will expire on the 30th of this month. Will end on November 2020.

It will not be extended, so those on expired visas will have to amend their status, and leave the country to avoid prosecution.

Sources added that expatriates should check the validity period of their passports to ensure that they can renew their residence, passports should be valid for more than the period of residence.
