Although the seventh volume of the light novels was published in March 2022 High School DxD DXit is not a publication of the main series since the “DX Volumes” focus on collecting short stories published in the magazine Monthly Dragon Magazine plus a brand new one. However, going towards main serialization, the franchise finds itself in Shin High School DxDwhich published its fourth volume in February 2020, more than two years ago.
Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero began publishing the light novels in September 2008 through the imprint Fujimi Fantasia Bunko from the publisher Fujimi Shobo, and finished them in March 2018 with a total of twenty-five volumes. After the last volume, Ishibumi announced the sequel Shin High School DxDcontinuing the original story and whose first volume was published in July 2018.
The first three seasons of the anime adaptation were produced by the studios KNP and accumulated a total of thirty-six episodes, released in January 2012, July 2013 and April 2015, while the fourth season, titled High School DxD Hero was produced by the studios Passion and had a total of thirteen episodes, released in April 2018 in Japan.
