the author of Abandoned deceived the players – he hardly works on horror and manipulates fans

The network has details regarding the creation of the horror Abandoned from the studio Blue Box. The authors of the indie game did not even finish the prologue, despite numerous assurances of successful development. The details were published by the GameSpot portal, citing people who are closely acquainted with Blue Box founder Hassan Kahraman.

When the first cryptic teasers of Abandoned appeared on the net, many gamers began to look for hidden meanings in them. Most users felt that the game is a continuation of Silent Hill from Hideo Kojima, which further fueled interest in the title. Kahraman himself secretly participated in the discussions and steered the discussions in the right direction, while each time changing the concept of the game in accordance with rumors: from horror in the spirit of Silent Hill to a variation of Metal Gear.

Kahraman chose some users and invited them to a special private conversation. There he shared Abandoned’s work and interacted with fans. However, many participants noticed that the developer was often rude and lied if someone asked a question regarding progress with horror, and excluded people from the favorites chat. He admitted to some fans that he was keeping them solely so that they would not leak materials to the network – for this, Kahraman even forced fans to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which was drawn up with many grammatical errors, as if the developer himself wrote it. When leaks did occur, Kahraman publicly denied the authenticity of the materials, and privately threatened participants.

Kahraman attributed all failures, empty promises and delays to external factors – partners, colleagues, stress and more. Despite assurances that work on the game is underway, the creator of Abandoned notified Sony that the title actually does not exist. The developer plans to start creating a horror movie with funds raised from the sale of the prologue, but people close to him claim that Blue Box hasn’t prepared even that for several years. Instead of working on the game, Kahraman only manipulates fans and spends time playing other titles, such as Rainbow Six Siege.

Horror Abandoned was announced in 2021, and its release on PC and PS5 is scheduled for 2022. In March, Blue Box removed posts regarding the future of the title, but said it was still working on it.
