The audit discovered that there is no such thing as a cash for Rail Baltica regional stations in Latvia

About 99 million euros are lacking for the development of regional stations of the Rail Baltica railway line in Latvia, in line with a report from the Nationwide Audit Workplace on the state of affairs with the venture.

To make sure that native residents don’t object to Rail Baltica, they have been promised new railway stations. However they forgot to present cash for them.

When the Cupboard accepted the inclusion of venture actions for 16 regional stations within the software for the European Infrastructure Connectivity Instrument, the report didn’t point out the overall price of developing the regional stations.

The primary data on the overall price of development of regional stations was supplied by the Ministry of Transport in April 2022, following which it was stated that the design and development of regional stations would price roughly 25 million euros, and in 2024 an estimate of 82 million euros was offered, however this too takes into consideration inflation charges. In keeping with present estimates, the development of regional stations will price 102.5 million euros.
