Stock prices closed with a rise in today’s session of the Athens Stock Exchange, although in most of the transactions it moved downwards.
The Greek stock market is one of Goldman Sachs’ top picks among Europe’s emerging markets and sets a target price for the General Index at 1,200 points.
Eurobank Equities remains positive for Greek banks, maintaining a buy recommendation, while it estimates that the very positive story of the sector remains intact.
The General Price Index closed at 1,087.49 points, marking an increase of 0.22%.
Intra-sessionally it recorded a lower price at 1,075.66 points (-0.87%).
The value of transactions amounted to 66.4 million euros, while 20,070,352 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.18%, while the mid-cap index fell marginally at 0.01%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of EYDAP (+3.81%), Ellactor (+3.24%), Lamda Development (+3.04%), Aegean Airlines (+2 .31%), ADMIE (+2.16%) and PPC (+1.66%).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Viohalco (-3.32%), Elvalhalcor (-2.99%), Eurobank (-1.56%), Terna Energy (-1.33%) and Mytileneos (-1.14%).
Of the individual indices, the Real Estate (+1.72%) and Travel (+1.33%) indices recorded the biggest increase, while the Raw Materials indices (-2.86%) and of Trade (-1.39%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 6,081,279 and 4,829,439 shares, respectively.
The highest transaction value was recorded by Mytilineos with 7.71 million euros and Alpha Bank with 6.89 million euros.
45 stocks moved up, 56 down and 18 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Bitros +14.67% and Mermeren +6.77%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: MIG -10.42% and Voyatzoglou Systems -9.68%.
