The astronomical amount that Harrison Ford’s hat sold for at auction

The archaeologist appeared in the fedora hat in the 1984 film ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ and it has also been worn by his own stuntman, Dean Ferradini.

According to the house, the initial estimate was between $250,000 and $500,000.

Made by the Herbert Johnson Hat Company of London, the inside of the fedora bears the initials ‘IJ’ in gold. As the description states, keeping in shape during filming was a “constant challenge.”

The film was directed by Steven Spielberg and alongside Ford were Kate Capshaw and Jonathan Key Quan.

Among the items also sold at auction was the white helmet used in the 1983 Star Wars film ‘Return of the Jedi’ which fetched $315,000 while a costume worn by the stars of the 1996 film ‘Scream’ went for $270,900, as reported by the AP.
