In Togo, the association ” Fondation de la Pierre Angulaire” is engaged in a dynamic of mobilizing the population for the electoral census scheduled from April 29 to June 03, 2023 as part of the next regional and legislative elections.
To this end, this civil society organization launched this Saturday, April 22 in Lomé, an awareness campaign on the Electoral Census Project (PRE).
It is a question of informing and sensitizing the populations of Greater Lomé and the interior of the country on the need to be registered and the importance of the voter’s card.
The Executive Director of the Cornerstone Foundation explained that specifically, it will not only be a question of informing the public about the dates of the conduct of the electoral census, but also of sensitizing the populations on the importance of the map. voter, to invite the population to enlist massively on the electoral lists.
The goal is also to support the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) in its awareness campaign for the perfect success of the census operation.
“It is important to intensify awareness-raising sessions with a view to arousing the support and mobilization of the population of voting age to register on the electoral rolls to enable them, at the appropriate time, to exercise their right to vote in peace of mind, ”said Cyrille Sablassou.
The campaign will be marked by awareness sessions, football tournaments, musical concerts, door-to-door visits, caravans, communication spots on the media, among others.
