Al-Marsad Newspaper: A TV report showed the story of the suffering of the 17-year-old artist, Mashael, with multiple sclerosis, revealing her reaction the moment the doctor described her condition.
She said during the report broadcast on the “MBC” program that the beginning of her symptoms was in 2006 AD, explaining some of what she was feeling, saying: “When I was sleeping and getting up, I felt that my brain was watery, and there was no balance in me.”
And she continued, “I used to have symptoms in some small areas of my body, neither cold nor hot, and the sensation of pain in them is different.”
And regarding how she received the news of her illness, she said: “The doctor told me that I am sick with multiple sclerosis, noting that her reaction at the time was to ask: “I am dying?”
She indicated that the sclerosis then occurred in the spinal cord, adding: “I saw white circles in the brain x-rays, and I did not know whether it was cancer?”
And she continued: Many times I get tired and cramps come to me in the hand or muscles, and I underwent operations to loosen the ligaments while I was pregnant with my son Khaled.
