For Rammstein, the 30th anniversary of the band is coming up in 2024. With a new post, guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe is now playing with the expectations of the fans.
Berlin – The future of Rammstein remains uncertain – even though all investigations once morest frontman Till Lindemann (60) have recently been discontinued. However, that doesn’t change the fact that the entire band has been staunchly silent on all future projects for a while. Lead guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe (56) causes further confusion with a new Instagram post.
Rammstein fans have to practice waiting – but what for?
Say goodbye to Rammstein forever? This question has occupied many fans of the Berlin cult band for months. 2024 would be the 30th anniversary of the group around singer Till Lindemann. However, it is still unclear how and whether this will be done. Supporters of the musical export hit hope for another tour to celebrate this occasion properly. However, any plans are currently no more than rumours.

Guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe is now heating it up further: “The art of waiting” (in German: The Art of Waiting) says a photo that the 56-year-old shared on Monday (August 28) via Instagram. On it you can see the musician dressed casually in sweatpants and a sports shirt. His post leaves room for speculation. While some are patiently waiting for a big announcement from Rammstein, some fear the worst: the end of their favorite band.
Rammstein end announced by song in 2022?
On “Zeit” (2022), the last Rammstein album to date, one song in particular caused wild speculation: “Adieu”. Released as the album’s fifth single, the ballad sounds like a farewell forever. In the refrain it says: “Adieu, goodbye, goodbye / you have to go the last way alone / one last song, one last kiss / no miracle will happen / adieu, goodbye, goodbye / the time with you was nice “. Some fans interpreted these lyric lines as a musical farewell. However, it can now be assumed that the song deals with the time following the release of the album “Mutter” (2001), which almost led to the end of the band at the time. The video clip for “Adieu” also speaks for this.
Rammstein guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe causes confusion with cryptic posts
But as is well known, hope dies last: the fans might actually be rewarded for their patience in the end, because such a song and sound farewell to the big stages of this world just doesn’t suit Rammstein. Since the end of the last tour to date, Richard Z. Kruspe has repeatedly caused confusion with his social media posts: At the beginning of August he initially announced: “I don’t know what the future will be like, but it will definitely be different .”
A week later, he became more hopeful, writing, “After a heavy rain, the sun always comes back.” Since “Sonne” is one of the band’s most well-known hits, this post caused cautious euphoria in parts of his community – following all, it sounds like another Rammstein tour is possible. However, fans may have to wait a little longer for this. Despite the upcoming anniversary… Sources used: instagram.com/richard_von_rammstein, rammstein.de, genius.com
