LEGO fans, children at heart, discover Nathan Sawaya’s incredible exhibition, The Art of the Brick, which is returning to Paris, to Montparnasse more precisely within the former Galeries Lafayette! This incredible exhibition presents more than 100 brick sculptures created by Nathan Sawaya, to be discovered from December 20, 2023.
THE LEGO are once again invading Paris! After a visit to the Porte de Versailles, then to La Grande Halle de La Villette in a superhero version from DC, the exhibition The Art of the Brick returns to Paris from December 20, 2023 to Montparnassein the former premises of Galeries Lafayette. An exhibition around the artist’s works Nathan Sawayaproduced by Feverfeaturing more than 100 astonishing sculptures, fruits of the American’s boundless imagination. This enthusiast of LEGO gave up a career as a lawyer in New York to devote himself to his passion: building an entire universe using the little bricks of his childhood… Box office opening on October 24, 2023 at 12 p.m.!
Intended for young and old, this traveling exhibition has already attracted more than 2 million visitors around the world ! More than 100 works, made up of a million LEGO bricks… Nathan Sawaya had fun reconstructing a dinosaur, with more than 80,020 pieces, and reinterpreted the Scream of Munch, in 3D version, among others. Some creations are just crazy!
Creations while LEGO which also pay homage to the greatest works of history, like the Thinker of Rodinfrom Venus de Milofrom Mona Lisa (which required more than 4500 pieces for a 1:1 scale result) of the wave ofHokusai or even the Starry Night of Van Gogh or even Kiss of Klimt.
To create all these pieces, the artist has two workshops, one in New York and the other in Los Angeles: a real warehouse of LEGO, where 4 million bricks are arranged in transparent boxes according to their color, shape and size.
