Every week its new disclosure. While a few days ago, leaked visuals revealed possible minor design changes on Apple’s next smartphones, new elements tend to confirm a crucial point: the abandonment of the Lightning. Indeed, one of the trusted sources of MacRumorsspecializing in the Apple ecosystem, unveils visuals of future smartphones.
These reveal the front of what should be the iPhone 15, and unsurprisingly, we can see the famous Dynamic Island notch inaugurated on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The second visual of leaker is more interesting since it confirms the integration of a USB-C port on the lower edge of the terminal. Apple, which is resisting this standardized connection, would therefore choose to comply with EU legislation from 2023. Remember that the European Union will impose from December 2024 the use of USB-C on smartphones, tablets and other portable devices to limit the unnecessary production of cables and chargers.
These latest leaks complement visuals detailing the design of the iPhone 15. Small changes are thus expected, starting with slightly more rounded corners and volume buttons with haptic feedback. So many elements that will be confirmed in the fall, the iPhone presentation keynote being traditionally scheduled for September.
