The Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) has just officially revealed that the Matter standard will not be published until this fall. The code, which is now long overdue, aims to facilitate exchanges between connected objects and should be a real asset to HomeKit when it’s released. Nearly 130 devices will then be compatible.
This delay is partly justified by questions of “stability” and of “quality“, essential elements for a project of this magnitude. A ninth test of the full-scale system is also planned for the spring, to better measure its effectiveness. More than fifty companies are partners and will provide the dedicated products.
At Apple in 2023?
Cupertino, for its part, should as often prepare a keynote for the month of September. A calendar may be too tight to take advantage of Matter, which therefore possibly suggests articles like those of Beddit eligible by the following year.
On its French site, Apple not only sells this sleep tracking mat but also the HomePod mini, scales, a blood pressure monitor and many other references of the kind also focused on health.
