The arrest of a soldier in the Ministry of Defense in flagrante delicto… and an expatriate banned from entering the Kingdom

Al-Marsad Newspaper: An official source in the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of a soldier who works in the Ministry of Defense in one of the governorates, and a foreigner who is not allowed to enter the Kingdom.

And the source said – according to “SPA” – that the military “requested an amount of (40,000) riyals from a citizen in exchange for giving him government medicines not intended for sale, and the appearance of other parties to the case.”

He explained that the parties “are: a citizen (a mediator), an employee and a pharmacist working in a government hospital in one of the governorates. They were arrested in flagrante delicto while receiving an amount of (68,000) riyals in exchange for government medicines not intended for sale.”

The source indicated that an expatriate – who was previously deported to his country – was arrested for paying an amount of (40,000) riyals to an intermediary – who works in a flight reservation office in his country – and for coordinating with an airport employee in exchange for enabling him to enter through an airport to the Kingdom.
