The Army Continues to Provide Assistance in Putting Out the Nakhon Nayok Forest Fire, Setting Up Base Since March 29th Evening.

The Royal Thai Army has dispatched soldiers via helicopters to aid in extinguishing forest fires in Nakhon Nayok. All sectors are working together to expedite the situation and bring an end to the fires quickly. Major General Sirichan Ngathong, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Army, announced that the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Military Circle 12, and Nakhon Nayok Province have organized support for extinguishing the fire. Two Mi-17 helicopters and a KA-32 disaster relief helicopter from Lopburi were sent to support the fire extinguishing effort. Today, pilots from the 41st Aviation Battalion, Department of Aviation, Royal Thai Army Aviation Center, used a KA-32 disaster relief helicopter and a Mi-17 helicopter to survey the area and bring a bag of water to sprinkle and extinguish the forest fires in Khao Cha Phu. The fire suppression effort will utilize infantry battalion personnel for both air and ground support. The Prime Minister has instructed military units to fully support the mitigation of the situation, and if requested, the Army Disaster Relief Center will send additional support to the area.

Maj. Gen. Sirichan said that The Prime Minister is concerned regarding the situation. and has given orders to military units to fully support the mitigation of the situation which the Army Commander Direct the Army Disaster Relief Center to monitor and send additional support from the Army to the area if requested. in order to be able to control and end the situation as quickly as possible



The efforts of the Royal Thai Army, in coordination with various sectors, in extinguishing the forest fires in Nakhon Nayok are highly commendable. The use of helicopters sent to survey the area and sprinkle water to control the spread of the fire is a testament to the dedication of the military in mitigating the situation. The support of the Prime Minister and the Army Commander is a clear indication of the government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens and the environment. We can only hope that the situation will soon be under control with the joint efforts of all involved.
