The Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received in his office in Yarzeh the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander RUDAKOV Nikolaevich, where they discussed the general situation in the country.
He also received the Commander of the Italian Army, Admiral Giuseppe CAVO DRAGONE, and they discussed the relations of cooperation between the armies of the two countries.
In Yarzeh, General Joseph Aoun presided over a ceremony honoring the Chief of Staff, Major General P.S.C. Amin Al-Aram and the Inspector General, P.S.C. Milad Ishaq, on the occasion of their retirement, in the presence of members of the Military Council and a number of senior commanding officers.
General Aoun praised “the march of the two honored generals and their bright fingerprints in the various positions they assumed,” praising “their sacrifices during their years of service and their dedication to duty.”
On the other hand, Major General Staff Al-Aram and Major General Staff Isaac thanked the army commander, officers and soldiers for their “love and loyalty,” and affirmed their confidence that the military institution “will continue to fulfill its covenant and promise under its wise leadership and heroic men, a support that protects Lebanon and its people.”
At the end of the ceremony, General Aoun presented each of the two honored major generals with the army shield as a token of thanks and appreciation.
