The Arab Parliament condemns the insulting statements of the Prophet in India

The Arab Parliament expressed its strong condemnation and total rejection of the irresponsible statements made by the spokeswoman for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in India, which included insulting the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, stressing that such statements completely contradict the principle of tolerance and interfaith dialogue, and lead to A state of congestion and hatred between religions.

The Arab Parliament stressed in a statement today, Monday, the need to stop irresponsible statements that offend the symbols and sanctities of the true Islamic religion, and the need to hold perpetrators accountable to ensure that they are not repeated once more.

He added that such statements reflect a clear ignorance of the message of peace carried by the Islamic religion and its tolerance, and its great role in spreading the values ​​of tolerance and confronting racism and extremism, stressing at the same time his total rejection of insulting all religious symbols and sanctities.

The Arab Parliament also expressed its astonishment that such statements are issued by political officials who are supposed to be more keen on spreading the values ​​of moderation, tolerance and dialogue between religions and civilizations, and confronting extremist ideas that feed strife and religious hatred.

The Arab Parliament called for the necessity of realizing the great difference between freedom of expression and respect for the beliefs of others, stressing that it is not possible in any way to accept insulting religions and their sacred symbols under the pretext of freedom of opinion and expression.
