And Asma had appeared on her personal page on the “Instagram” website in a video while she was undergoing a complete haircut, before watching her at the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Egyptian drama, and commented: “Comfort and a new page, part of the subject is psychological and an attempt to overcome the crises.”

She added, “I do not regret what I did, and I do not encourage anyone to do so, because the issue is primarily personal.” Asma revealed the reason behind her doing so, saying: “My hair has been falling out for a while, in addition to being burned because of its straightening tools, in addition to the gland injury and its effect.”

And Asma continued, “I decided to implement what I decided a long time ago, in order to start over and (liberate myself).”

On the sidelines of her attendance at the Cairo Drama Festival, Asma said in statements to Egyptian media, “There are next steps in her life that require what she did, and she did not consult anyone except her daughter, who encouraged her in her bold decision.”

Regarding the reaction of her father, the artist Sherif Mounir, she said that he was “preoccupied with filming a work of art and had not seen it yet,” noting that she did not regret what she had done, and that she felt comfortable and different.

For her part, the Syrian psychological consultant, Lama Al-Safadi, believes that what Asma did falls under several names: “Personal change can be for reasons related to her psychological state, getting rid of a past or a relationship, and sometimes it can be support for sick friends.”

Al-Safadi added to Asharq Al-Awsat that “the psychological state may push a person to make hasty emotional decisions that represent the end of the memory of a relationship or a challenge to oneself, depending on the diagnosis.”

And the Egyptian psychological consultant, Iman Al-Rayes, says: “What Asma did, even if his goal was the trend, is also a psychological cause and a fatal feeling of loneliness.”

Al-Rayes said in a statement to Asharq Al-Awsat that “society is somewhat lacking in sympathy.” She said that the “trend” issue is a fait accompli and must be dealt with sometimes from a different perspective, as it is “an attempt to draw attention; It means a person’s need to communicate with people, and it explains his suffering from emptiness and lack of psychological adaptation.

Al-Rayyes confirmed that if the matter was satisfactory, as Asma reported, then it “does not need (showing) and photographing, as I did.”… “What I did had a psychological motive behind it, and what happened must be placed within the framework of the need for moral support.”

The Egyptian art critic, Mohamed Abdel Rahman, told Asharq Al-Awsat that her appearance (shaved head) and her statement that the reason behind this was her exposure to a disease, “needs to be seen by a doctor and directed for treatment, and then appear before the public, and at that time she justifies her disappearance due to her undergoing treatment, and not the other way around. Shearing a few hours before her appearance at the ceremony, ”continuing:“ This matter shows that her goal is to lead the trend and the desire to draw attention, even if she denies it, but the matter simply indicates that.

Asma Sherif Mounir presented the “Me and My Girl” program, with the participation of her father, the Egyptian artist Sherif Mounir, several years ago. The program hosted a large group of celebrities through one of the Egyptian channels, in addition to her own activity on her personal page on the “Instagram” website regarding various cosmetics.
