To shed more light on this decision, we have Senator Maria Gomez, a strong advocate for infrastructure development in the region. Welcome, Senator Gomez!
**Senator Gomez:** Thank you for having me!
**Host:** Can you tell us why the Túnel del Toyo project is such a crucial investment for Antioquia?
**Senator Gomez:** Absolutely. The Túnel del Toyo is not just an engineering project; it represents a lifeline for economic growth in our region. It will significantly reduce transit times between the northern and southern parts of Antioquia, promoting trade and access to resources. This investment will pave the way for better connectivity, attracting businesses and improving the quality of life for our citizens.

Mitigation strategies will be in place to protect local ecosystems. Our goal is to not only boost the economy but also to do so responsibly and sustainably.
**Host:** Looking ahead, what is the expected timeline for the Túnel del Toyo project, and how will you keep the public informed?
