The annual session of the National People’s Congress of China (ANRPC), the country’s supreme legislative forum, opened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Sunday. Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders, along with nearly 3,000 other representatives attended the opening session.
During the work that will take place until March 13, the new members of China’s state institutions will be appointed, the government’s activity report will be examined, China’s main development goals and tasks in 2023 will be clarified, but and the country’s governance strategy.
According to the work agenda, ANRPC representatives will study the draft amendment to the institutional reform plan of the Council of State.
