The annual inflation rate in Sudan decreased to 88.83% in November

According to a note issued by the Sudanese Central Bureau of Statistics, issued on Friday, the annual rate of inflation in the country fell in November to 88.83%, compared to 102.6% in October, according to Archyde.com.

The Sudanese economy deteriorated in the wake of the events of October 2021, which caused international financing to stop, and the value of its currency fell by more than a quarter.

Sudan witnessed successive increases in fuel prices last year as part of the process of phasing out fuel subsidies aimed at following up on international prices.

The Ministry of Energy decided to reduce the prices of “diesel” gasoline for the current month of December, to reach 600 Sudanese pounds per liter, from 720 pounds last month.

He added that he had decided to keep the price of petrol unchanged at £620 a litre.
