The announcer Juan Carlos Beltrán, who provided his voice for the film’s off the lost republic and who worked on various radio stations in Buenos Aires and in Bahía Blanca, his hometown, died at the age of 87 in this town in the south of Buenos Aires, his relatives and friends reported this Thursday.
Announcer, radio drama rapporteur and teacher of the voiceover career at Cosal in the City of Buenos Aires were some of the many professional activities carried out by Beltrán.
His beginnings in the profession go back to 1951, when he joined LU2 Radio Bahía Blanca as part of a contest that sought radio drama interpreters, entertainers, journalists and announcers.
It was thus that his career spread to other radio stations and television channels in Bahía Blanca to later settle in the Federal Capital, where, in 1976, he began working on Radio el Mundo, Radio de la Ciudad and Radio Miter, among many others.
Beltrán had a colloquial, friendly, respectful style and a varied musical taste that allowed him to work on different stations and be summoned to put the voice-over in the film. the lost republicthe remembered documentary in two parts that narrates a large part of the political and social history of the country from the 20th century, until the arrival of democracy in 1983.
After his intense work in Buenos Aires, following his retirement, Beltrán returned to his hometown, where he has also made radio programs until today.
The remains of the renowned broadcaster will be buried this noon in the municipal cemetery of Bahía Blanca.
