The anniversary performance “The historical NO and Karagiozis in the war of 40″ will be presented to the public by the karagioz player Christos Patrinos at Peri Scion as part of the celebration of October 28.
A performance for the old to remember and for the younger to learn about the historical events that took place in the city, the Italian bombings, the difficult daily life of the residents and the uprising of the citizens of Patrina in the first hours of the war.
The heroes of the shadow theater, Karagiozis the sergeant, Barbagiorgos the corporal, Hadziavatis, Sior-Dionysios and the whole platoon of popular heroes anxiously follow the developments, dress in khaki and participate in the events that took place in 1940.
A performance with the ultimatum of the Italian ambassador to Metaxas and the historic NO, the emergency announcement, with references to the military shelter in Psilalonia, the bombing of the district of Ag. Dionysius in the Anglican Church and in Three Admirals. The audio documents of the National Anniversary surround the voice of the karagiozopaichte Christos Patrinos.
