Open-world fishing game Call of the Wild: The Angler will be released on August 31, 2022 on PC for $30.

Announced in June, the game Call of the Wild: The Angler is announced for next month by the studio Expansive Worlds on PC. An open world that will appeal to fans of calm games and fishing.
The soon-to-be-available game will be multiplayer, welcoming up to 12 players in multiplayer, it will allow players to enjoy the serenity that fishing can provide.

The world of The Angler will take place in a fictional world called Golden Ridger Reserve. Filled with mountains and lakes, it is inspired by the west coast of the United States, Wyoming. This open world will allow players to explore on foot, by boat and by car the different settings that the game offers.
The fish featured will be largemouth bass and whitefish. Fishing will be done strategically in order to catch certain species depending on the location. In addition, the game will be equipped with a multitude of fishing rods as well as lines, floats, hooks, lures, baits and reels to please the most experienced anglers.
Expansive Worlds informs players that several updates will be available therefollowing on a regular and ongoing basis. The Golden Ridge Reservation is seen as the “launch card” of The Angler, so additional environments will surely be added later.
