The AMMC is committed to promoting the financial education of savers

The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) participates for the sixth consecutive year in the World Investor Week (WIW), an international campaign initiated by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) for the promotion of financial education of the general public.

Celebrated by the AMMC from October to December 2022, this 6th edition of the WIW mobilizes more than 100 jurisdictions around the world around the following themes: investor resilience, sustainable finance and fraud prevention.

The AMMC, an authority committed to the financial education of the general public

As a lever for the development of the capital market, the financial education of the general public is a strategic priority for the Moroccan Capital Market Authority. The AMMC thus multiplies the initiatives aimed at facilitating and improving the understanding of the various concepts related to the capital market.

For this edition, various educational content for the public is planned and includes:

-Two new issues of the “investor’s guide” dealing with the following topics:

– Understand public offers;

-Get informed before investing.

– Capsules on different themes, namely:

-Investment in the capital market;

-Financial instruments;

-Sustainable finance;

-The basic concepts of the capital market;

-The capital market in Morocco;

-The AMMC, regulator of the capital market.

-A new series of videos: “The AMMC Answers You”;

-Awareness and financial education messages;

-New content on the Quiz Finance application.

The public will be able to access all of this content through the Authority’s social networks and website.

Also, the AMMC is organizing a webinar with the Arab Union of Securities Regulators (UASA) presenting the various financial education actions undertaken by each of the member regulators.
