Social network users reminded Biden of the so-called “Putin price increase”. “Ha ha. You accused yesterday [в росте цен на бензин президента РФ Владимира] Putin. Now it’s gas station operators? I don’t really expect honesty from politicians, but at least work on consistency,” said David Williams.
Other commentators questioned whether the American leader understood the basic principles of economics. “Dammit, you don’t understand the basics of supply/demand?” asked Dan Held.
The U.S. is experiencing record inflation, driving up energy and grocery prices. However, in this, the White House administration calls this process none other than “Putin’s rise in price.” Biden also said that Americans are paying “Putin tax” for fuel and food.
