The American mediator in the border negotiations between Lebanon and Israel arrives in Beirut

The American mediator in the file of demarcating the maritime borders between Lebanon and Israel, Amos Hochstein, arrived in Beirut yesterday, to discuss the issue of completing the indirect negotiations for the demarcation between the two countries.
The Lebanese President, General Michel Aoun, and the caretaker prime minister, Najib Mikati, had invited Hochstein to come to Beirut to discuss the issue of completing the negotiations, following the ship of the liquefied natural gas production unit of the Greek Energy Power Company entered on the fifth of this June the Karish field within The disputed area between Lebanon and Israel at the southern maritime border.
In a related context, the United Nations Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Joanna Vronesca, announced yesterday the readiness of the United Nations to contribute to moving indirect negotiations to demarcate the southern maritime border with Israel.
