Lausanne is strengthening in view of the pre-play-off and play-off. The Vaudois club has signed American striker Andy Miele (33), recent captain of the United States at the Beijing Olympics.
Miele has a contract until the end of the current season.
For three seasons, he played in KHL with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. This season, he still played 47 matches (36 points/13 goals) with the Russian club. Previously, he had spent a season in Sweden between Malmö and Vaxjö. He also has 15 NHL appearances with the Phoenix Coyotes.

The LHC now has six foreign players. Besides Miele, he can count on Martin Gernat (SVK), Michael Frolik (CZE), Jiri Sekac (CZE), Cory Emmerton (CAN) and Francis Paré (CAN).
