The players of the Samara “Krylya Sovetov” beat the Grozny “Akhmat” with a score of 2: 1 in the away match of the first round of the Russian Premier League (RPL).
Benjamin Garre (13th minute) and Sergey Babkin (85) scored against Samarans. As part of the hosts, Hamid Agalarov scored a goal (90 + 4, from the penalty spot).
Garre scored his goal after a beautiful solo run, beating three opponents and sending the ball into the net.
Last season, Akhmat took fifth place in the RPL standings, Krylya Sovetov became 12th.
In the next round, Akhmat will host CSKA on July 30, while Wings of the Soviets will play Dynamo Moscow at home the day before.
