The Olympic Games triathlon and Paralympic Games para triathlon routes will start from a floating pontoon positioned at the foot of the Alexandre III bridge in Paris. Paris 2024 guarantees an exceptional experience for athletes, as well as for the public and television viewers.
THE individual events of the Olympic Games triathlon will take place on July 30 and 31, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. A week later, August 5 at 08:00 a.m., will be held themixed relay event. As to paralympic eventsthey will benefit from the same framework September 1 and 2, 2024.
These three distinct courses promise to be particularly demanding from a sporting point of view and will highlight some of the capital’s most beautiful monuments. Their starting point will be a floating pontoon positioned at the foot of the Alexandre III bridge (on which will be installed a 1,000-seat grandstand) where spectators can take their places to watch the departures and arrivals as well as the transition zone (between the different disciplines) for a spectacle that the organization promises to be “breathtaking”.
In the heart of Paris with its most beautiful monuments as a backdrop
As part of these events, some of the most beautiful monuments and emblematic places of Paris will therefore be honoured. After their swimming test in the Seine, the athletes will have the opportunity to see, on the cycling or running route, the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais, the National Assembly, the Musée d’Orsay, to take the Avenue des Champs-Elysées (seeing the Arc de Triomphe in your line of sight ), avenue Montaigne, the Quais d’Orsay and Anatole France or boulevard Saint-Germain.
