Dubai Communications and Road Authority in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that work has begun on the construction of the first air taxi station.
According to foreign media, the official opening of the air taxi station will be done in the first quarter of 2026.
According to the report of Emirate Illum, the company ‘Jobi’ related to the air taxi service, says in its statement that “a new era will begin with the air taxi service which will also be better in terms of environmental protection”.
According to the Director of Dubai Transport and Road Authority, construction sites for more stations for air taxi service will also be started soon.
He said the air taxi service will be used on routes to major hotels, airports and tourist spots, while four air taxi stations will be constructed in different areas of Dubai.
The air taxi will have 6 fans while four batteries will be fitted in it which will be capable of traveling up to 161 km. The air taxi developed by the company associated with the air taxi service project will have four seats and a speed of up to 320 kmph.
Airtaxi will take off and land vertically, which will not require conventional runways that can land at common locations.
You can reach the airport from Jumeirah Beach in 10 minutes by air taxi, which is usually 45 minutes by ground taxi.
