The government, the CGEM and the most representative trade union centers signed this Saturday, April 30 a social agreement and a national charter on social dialogue.
The signing ceremony of this agreement, which coincides with the celebration of Labor Day tomorrow, was chaired by the head of government. Aziz Akhannouch initialed this agreement with the general secretaries of the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), the General Union of Moroccan Workers (UGTM), and the Democratic Confederation of Labor (CDT), as well as by the presidents the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Moroccan Confederation of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Here are some highly anticipated measures under this new agreement:
Increase of the Smig from 3,000 to 3,500 DH per month for the public sector.
Increase of the Smig for the private sector by 10% in two stages, in September 2022 and 2023.
Alignment of the agricultural smag on the smig.
