This Thursday followingnoon around 3:30 p.m., a police officer who was in charge of traffic near the Agneten college in Peer (Flanders) was stabbed by a 12-year-old teenager, writes the Belang van Limburg. The assailant was arrested, as were his brother and mother.

Police have already made several arrests, including the attacker, his brother and his mother, according to HBVL. The attacker is a 12-year-old boy who attends a school near the scene.

The policeman was stabbed several times in the chest and leg. The neighborhood officer’s injuries are minor. He was hospitalized in Pelt Hospital.
