Among the Heads of State expected in Abidjan: the Senegalese President Macky Sall, the President of the Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Cheikh el-Ghazahouani, or even the Head of State of Niger Mohamed Bazoum.

Ce summit intervenes in a context of successive crises. The most painful times of the pandemic are moving away to make way for economic recovery. But a new ominous cloud looms over the horizon of economic growth: inflation and the food crisisAfrica currently suffering from its great dependence vis-à-vis the rest of the world in a context of war in Ukraine.

Food resources, computer data storage, drug production: African states are aiming for greater economic autonomy.

And months following COP15 on desertification and land degradationwhich was also held in Abidjan, economic decision-makers will also be judged on their ability to propose development solutions that respect the environment.

Finally, during this major meeting of African liberals, economic players will try to put in place strategies that can sustainably revive African growth. The trend is towards public-private partnerships, a system of organization promoted by international financial institutions.
