The advertising market is stalling

A semester of standing still for the French market. During the first six months of the year, the sector capped at 7.74 billion euros in net revenue (1), according to the Unified archyde news Market Barometer (BUMP) drawn up by Irep, Kantar and France Pub . A level showing a tiny increase of 0.2% over one year. Over four years, the industry’s growth stands at 15.3%.

During the first half, the market was supported by digital, despite its sharp deceleration. Between January and June, this segment of the market showed an increase of 5.5% – over one year, to 4.4 billion euros -, compared to annual growth of 19% in 2022 over the same period. In detail, “search” performance remains solid with a jump of 7.7% over one year. For the first time, this format crossed the symbolic barrier of 2 billion euros in net revenue over the half-year.
