Abu Dhabi (Al Ittihad)
Twenty talented STEM students from the Western Region who took part in the ADNOC Yas Challenge in Schools for Al Dhafra Region enjoyed an experience of a lifetime during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.
Students aged between 12 and 16 years won a trip to the Yas Marina Circuit to watch Formula-1 drivers compete in the final race of the world championship, following impressing the competition jury, and highlighting their talents in STEM subjects, by developing an integrated digital file for the team A miniature Formula 1 and the design of a Formula 1 car, as part of the activities of the ADNOC Yas initiative in educational schools for young children.
The students had tested the performance of their miniature cars in a test once morest time on the Yas competition track in schools, and they also participated in the time performance challenge organized in cooperation with Cranfield University. This weekend, the students’ experience included a visit to the Yas Kart Zone, where they received a gift that included a driving suit. Their exclusive design.
