“The Adam Project”-Star bald in neuer “Percy Jackson”-Serie

Walker Scobell has with the Netflix hit “The Adam Project” gained his first professional acting experience. After this success alongside Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds (45) and other film greats, the young talent will be seen in “Secret Headquarters” in another action film in August. And as it has now become known, the 13-year-old already has the next mega role: he has snagged the lead role in the new edition of “Percy Jackson”!

Walker will play the main character of the same name in the Disney+ series, originally slated to be called Percy Jackson and the Olympians Variety reported. In the series, 12-year-old demigod Percy discovers his supernatural powers when Zeus, the god of the sky, accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. The first season is announced with eight episodes. Production of the series is slated to begin this summer.

The author of the world-renowned book series, Rick Riordan (57) is already enthusiastic regarding the replacement by Walker Scobell. “Demigos, the time has come. I’m so excited to introduce Percy Jackson,” author Rick Riordan said of Walker starring in the new Disney+ series. “Walker had the perfect blend of comedic timing, loveliness, rebelliousness, wit and heroism to embody our hero, Percy Jackson.”Riordan enthuses regarding the young talent and super fan of the book series on his website rickriordan.com.
