Dora Cadavid was born in Medellín on November 23, 1937. Her career began as a reciter of The voice of Antioch. Then he worked with Fausto Cabrera in the play “Doña Inés returns to the convent”. Dora Cadavid set up her own radio station in Medellín, called “Ondas Femeninas”.
Her avant-garde led her to be the first woman to do a live commercial for Royal Desserts. It was in 1954 when he got his first role in a soap opera called “Spectral”. In 1958 he recorded his first music album with Sonolux. He worked in productions such as “Candó” and “Una vida para amarte”. In 1970 he decided to travel to Mexico where he studied theater and recorded his second album with Tongi Cambell.
In 1980, he was linked to major productions such as Rasputin, Hato Canaguay, Señora Bonita, Heroínas, Romeo y Buseta, Francisco the mathematician, The English teacher, An open heart, El man es Germán and La ley del corazón. His most remembered works are in Café con aroma de mujer and in the telenovela Yo soy Betty la fea.
