Kristina Lilley was massively known in Colombia for her role as Gabriela Acevedo in the novel Passion of Hawks. Beyond the success of this plot, the artist has been close to the people who follow her on Instagram and from this platform she has recounted the day-to-day diagnosis and treatment of her cancer that she suffers from.
In the last few hours, he shared a video that has already received more than a thousand comments and 11,000 likes. She recounts forcefully and between soft tears that not every day is the same.
“Very good morning to all. My awakening today is to share a little bit of all this that I am going through. I thank all the women and all the people who have written to me and told me, how do you manage to be so strong in this process. You guys give me a lot of strength and I appreciate it. My family is the strongest pillar I have and I appreciate that they are always with me, ”she said at the beginning of the video.
“Just as I have strong days, I also have difficult days. How do I deal with those days? Well, I accept the emotion, I live it, I honor it and I let it go. I don’t stay there. It’s natural and it’s okay”, he added in a very knowing tone.
“Thank you for always accompanying me, truly, with the greatest love in the world, I thank you… Happy day,” concluded the 59-year-old artist between tears and a smile.
Kristina Lilley, moved, continues to fight cancer: “Second chemo; it has not been easy”
Through social networks, Lilley has shared his entire process, from the day of the diagnosis to February 5, he also shared an emotional message.
“My awakening is to tell you my story. Difficult moments that little by little are being overcome. Thanks for listening, ”she initially wrote to accompany the recording, which quickly went viral. Two months ago I was re-diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m fine, I’m pretty calm!, she said at the time.
The actress, in the same way, showed this week that she decided to shave her head because her hair was already beginning to fall out, a product of the strong treatment she is receiving. One of her sons-in-law was the one who took the electric clipper and did her new haircut.
Despite the fact that she admitted that this process has not been easy at all, the renowned artist shared a small reflection with all her followers and assured that she continues to fight to overcome this disease. In addition, she indicated that she already received her second chemotherapy.
“Second chemotherapy, there are two I feel good, I’m calm. Today is a good day. Every day is a good day,” Lilley initially said, who has been very active on Instagram.
Then he added: “Thinking regarding the situation I am currently experiencing, I realized that in life there are things that can be changed and others that cannot. I definitely can’t change this situation I’m in, but I can change the way I see things and how I deal with them. It is the right thing to do”.
The Colombian-American artist finally stressed that she is aware that the situation in which she finds herself is complex, but pointed out that she is enjoying her life one day at a time and that she enjoys all the pleasures.
“As women we have the commitment to perform the cytology every year, but our partners also have the responsibility of being participants in this process, of being aware of whether we already had the exam or not and of accompanying us if necessary ”, stated at that time.
