This is a first since… 1960. The actors voted this Thursday evening to strike alongside the screenwriters. The latter stopped working on May 2 to defend their rights once morest the studios. This double strike risks putting Hollywood on hold for several months.
The actors’ strike means that the release of many films and TV series should be delayed, but also that Hollywood stars will stop promoting blockbusters due for release soon, such as the highly anticipated Barbie and Oppenheimer. The filming of series, including Stranger Things and Abbott Elementary, has already been interrupted.
