“The adventure started 20-25 days ago… I had come to the island (Kythnos) alone, I got vertigo. I went to Athens, had an injection and after tests found it was from the labyrinth. All good. I spent a week and ten days in Athens where I wanted to settle some cases with some contracts,” he said at the beginning.
“At one point I went into the bathroom and when I came out I found myself with my head in the sink all of a sudden, I slipped and bruised my head on the right side. Fortunately even though the hit was loud, it was nothing. I had a show the next day, they injected me with a cocktail and I went and sang normally. Everything is fine,” the folk artist continued.
“Then I returned to the island, because I wanted to see my little daughter as well. When I got here, I went to wake her up. My back was a little sore. I went to grab her by the crib and lift her up, she is 16 kg, the little one, I was stabbed in the middle as if I was being cut in two. I did three consecutive days of cocktail injections. They didn’t catch me and now I’m getting special treatment with cortisones,” he added.
Stamatis Gonidis – The horrible pains
“When I stand I have no problem, I walk, when I sit it hurts a little but ok, when I lie down and forget, I can’t sleep, when I turn around, the pain is horrible. The orthopedist told me it will take two weeks, because the lower back is a place that… I’ve never had it before. You can’t sleep, you can’t rest. Concerts were canceled while they were sold out, musicians are out of work. I have never done this before… Now I understand what it means to have a backache”, concluded Stamatis Gonidis.
