The Abandoned Loyal Dog Has Been Waiting for Years in Place

Dodo was originally raised by a couple and lived in Hongshuiqiao, but the couple moved away a few years ago, leaving Dodo alone in the same place, but she stayed at the place and waited faithfully every day, refusing to leave. Her food and water, so that she at least not go hungry.

However, the neighbors recently found that Dodo’s appetite had greatly decreased and he lost weight suddenly, so he asked RCAP for help. RCAP took her for a preliminary examination and found that she had tick fever, heartworm, anemia, and maggots in her lower body. Later, she found that her bladder was full of feces and urination, which needed to be withdrawn with a syringe. What was more serious was the dissolution of the second and fourth segments of her lumbar spine. It was suspected to be caused by cancer or infection after injury. MRI was needed to know the actual condition.

Currently Dodo is very weak. He needs to be treated for heartworm and tick fever first, and takes antibiotics. He cannot undergo major surgery for the time being. RCAP volunteers expressed that they were deeply moved by Dodo’s loyalty and hoped that everyone would cheer for her to cope with this difficult time.
