The 90’s Gadget Creator Retro Gadgets is now available via Steam Early Access

Evil Licorice has its debut title today Retro Gadgets released via Steam Early Access. Available for €19.99, the Gadget Creation title allows gamers to create, program and customize their own gadgets and share them with the world. The first playable demo was used by thousands of inventors to create all sorts of devices, from fully playable portable consoles to working MP3 players to 3D painting tools.

In Retro Gadgets Players create and customize their own gadgets, which they can code to bring to life before sharing with the community. In a tactile interface, tinkerers will press buttons, flip switches, turn dials, and move joysticks to build and interact with every device imaginable. The game features vfull steam workshop integrationwhich allows players to download, review, and reverse engineer each other’s projects to create their own versions.

Retro Gadgets also serves as an educational tool and allows gamers to create their gadgets with full support for Lua code, including a documented editor. This brings gadgets to life, from video game consoles to live weather stations and calculators. Once created, inventors can use their gadgets on their desktops while running Retro Gadgets. In the future, players and designers will be able to export their projects and use them individually as widgets on their Windows computers. So create in Retro Gadgets a tool you need for your daily workflow and export it for your personal use.

During the Steam Next Fest, more than 30,000 players Retro Gadgets downloaded, which put it in the top 15 most popular demo of the event. Creations like a Tamagotchi-inspired gadget, a Game Boy-inspired retro portable console, a 3D viewer and even a code scrambling device have been engineered!

Retro Gadgets is now available in Early Access on PC via Steam. Players can choose the title directly purchase via Steam and over Discord and Twitter to stay updated.
