From October 13, 2022 until October 16, 2023, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris is hosting the exhibition 80s, fashion, design and graphics in France in the nave.
This exhibition dedicated to the 80s presents 700 works in the fields of fashion, design and graphics to the general public. To highlight these works, the Museum of Decorative Arts entrusted the scenography to the renowned designer, Adrien Rovero. He is already used to collaborating with major institutions such as the Pompidou Center in Paris and Le Mudac in Switzerland.
The exhibition dedicated to the 80s is divided into three distinct themes:
- A new political and cultural era
- Le design en effervescence
- The look of the 80s
The opportunity to rediscover or discover the artistic talents that helped mark the decade of the 80s through their emblematic works of a frenetic era.

Rei Kawakubo, the Japanese designer is revolutionizing the world of fashion with her Comme des Garçons collection, which is described as anti-fashion.
Stylists like Jean-Paul Gauthier and Thierry Mugler are also starting to make a name for themselves in the fashion world.

The designers wonder regarding the place of the object in everyday life. Among them :
