If the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has since surpassed it, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE still remains a very recommendable reference today. This is even more the case now since this 5G smartphone drops to 399 euros instead of 759 euros when it was launched.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (which may well be the last of the Fan Edition line) struggled to impress. Fortunately, its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 FE, can boast of being, even today, a very good reference that is not at all outdated. Its 5G version thus manages to be competitive thanks to a few compromises. To take full advantage of it without digging into your budget too much, the time is ideal since you benefit from a reduction and an ODR, which make drop its price below 400 euros.
The highlights of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
- A 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display refreshed at 120Hz
- A powerful Snapdragon 865 chip
- Fast and wireless charging
Initially launched at 759 euros, then reduced to 499 euros, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is now available at 399 euros on Cdiscount thanks to an automatic reduction of the e-merchant and a ODR valid until September 30, 2022.

A design with some concessions, but the OLED is there
Unlike the other models in the range, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has a flat screen, not a curved one. The 6.5-inch panel is framed by less thin borders than on the other references in the S20 line, but this is really not disturbing. We will also be entitled to a matte plastic coating, which also reduces the cost of manufacture, and therefore its selling price. But despite these few concessions, Samsung has not skimped on the quality of the screen, since here we have a Super AMOLED panel refreshed at 120 Hz, which is the assurance of very good display and navigation fluidity. . However, this mode will not be adaptive, but you can manually switch to 60 Hz mode so as not to drain the battery too quickly. Otherwise, the finishes will be impeccable and the grip very comfortable.
Behind the screen, there will be a photo module consisting of a main sensor of 12 megapixels, an ultra wide-angle of 12 megapixels and an x3 telephoto lens of 8 megapixels. We are far from the versatility promised by the other more expensive S20s, but this one will still defend itself very well with precise shots, with beautiful details in full light. Photos taken at night will be satisfactory, despite some effects of noise and blur in certain situations.
Assured performance thanks to a more powerful chip
If the 4G version of this model embeds an Exynos 990 to ensure its performance, the latter will be much higher on the 5G version thanks to the Snapdragon 865 chip from Qualcomm. The power will therefore be required, and this configuration will be more than enough to run Android applications and launch some greedy 3D games without slowing down. To top it all off, the S20 FE 5G comes with a comfortable 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD up to 1TB. options, will ensure convenient and responsive navigation.
Finally, on the autonomy side, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G has a 4,500 mAh battery, which will last you a whole day without worry, or even more, even with the 120 Hz mode activated. We owe this energy efficiency above all to the power of the Snapdragon 865. The smartphone will also be compatible with fast charging up to 25 W, wireless charging up to 15 W as well as reverse wireless charging.
